Actor Juan Pablo Di Pace (Mamma Mia!, Fuller House) makes his feature debut in the coming-of-age drama Before We Forget which he co-directed with Andrés Pepe Estrada and is executive produced by the late Norman Lear. Di Pace, who wrote the screenplay, stars as Argentine filmmaker Matias – who struggles to finish a movie inspired by his first love, Alexander (young Alexander is played by Oscar Morgan, adult Alexander is played by August Wittgenstein), a Swedish boy he met at a boarding school. Their strong friendship is interrupted when Alexander is expelled, leaving young Matias (played by Santiago Madrussan) with unresolved emotions that carry over 25 years later.
Before We Forget follows Matias as he reopens his history with Alexander and the the nostalgia of his first love.
The film spans through time and also stars Araceli González, Marta Beatriz Maineri, Tomás Kirzner, Juan Cruz Márquez de la Serna, Fabián Mazzei, Sarah Parish, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Julia Bender, Krista Kosonen, Vittorio Di Pace, Lini Evans, Agustina Lecouna, and Joaquín Gaitan.
